Tom Brady, who led the New England Patriots to a wipe-out season-opener win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday after closing last season by earning his sixth Super Bowl ring, is selling his five-acre estate near Boston.

The quarterback and his wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, built the five-bedroom home in Brookline, Massachusetts, four years ago. It’s now listed for $39.5 million with Beth Dickerson of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, who declined to comment. There’s a famous next-door neighbor: Bob Kraft, owner of the Patriots.

Brady’s mansion is adjacent to the ninth hole of The Country Club. The couple’s 2015 application to join one of the oldest and most exclusive country clubs in the nation languished for two years as members debated whether they were too high profile before voting to admit them, according to the Boston Globe.

Brady’s 12,000-square-foot home has a sunroom, a wine room, a library, a spa, and a gym. On the second floor, the master suite has his and hers walk-in closets. To see pictures of the home’s interior, click here.

There’s a 2,400-square-foot detached guest house built to look like a small barn that contains a yoga studio, a full bath, and a sleeping loft. There’s also an organic herb and vegetable garden.

The house has a three-car garage and a circular driveway that holds 20 vehicles – for all those parties you have if you’re Tom Brady and you’ve won six Super Bowls, one would presume.

The estate was designed by Richard Landry, the architect who created the 18,298-square-foot estate in Brentwood, California, that Brady and his wife sold to rapper Dr. Dre for $40 million in 2014. Landry, dubbed “The King of the Megamansion” in a 2015 New York Times profile, has also created homes for Michael Bolton, Wayne Gretzky, Rod Stewart, and other celebrities.

Brady told WEEI, a sports radio station in Boston, that fans shouldn’t assume listing his house means he plans to retire. The 42-year-old quarterback signed a two-year contract extension with the Patriots last month that raised his pay to $23 million for 2019 and left him untethered after the end of the 2021 season. Brady began playing for the Patriots in 2000.

“You shouldn’t read into anything,” Brady said in the radio interview. “It takes a long time to sell a house. I don’t know if you guys know, my house is a little bit of an expensive one, so it doesn’t fly off the shelves in a couple of weeks.”
