Rosewood Washington, DC recently announced the opening of new townhouse accommodations, located in a prime location in the heart of Georgetown directly adjacent to the luxury hotel. The timing of this new residential-style offering couldn’t be more opportune. 

During a presidential transition, a flurry of real estate activity takes place in DC between Election and Inauguration Days—resulting in spikes in home rentals, home sales and purchases, and searches for temporary quarters for soft landings.

Located on a charming, tree-lined street near the C&O Canal, the  townhomes were originally constructed in the 1700s. Their interiors have been totally reenvisioned and contemporized by Thomas Pheasant, a locally based residential designer with an international reputation.  

Each one-bedroom townhome offers approximately 1,100 square feet of living space spread over four floors. All have private entrances, outdoor patios, fully-equipped kitchens and lower-level laundry rooms.

Rosewood prides itself on personal service. So to ease the residential transition, a personal butler is available to assist guests with every aspect of their stay, including pre-arrival pantry stocking and coordination of in-room meal preparation with the hotel’s culinary team.

The townhomes have king beds and pullout sofas that can accommodate up to a total of four guests per unit. For those expecting visitors, the property offers the convenience of being able to book additional rooms or suites at the 55-room 5-star hotel. 

Close to trendy shops and restaurants, and only two blocks away from the redeveloped waterfront district along the Potomac River, the location is close to downtown DC while affording many opportunities for interesting neighborhood walks or runs.

On new beginnings

In addition to the launch of the new townhomes, the hotel’s reopening heralded the return of service at the property’s signature restaurant, CUT D.C., and the CUT bar. Operating in accordance with local, state and national guidelines, Rosewood’s Commitment to Care outlines a series of new health and safety measures designed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 among guests and staff across all its operations.
