Real Estate Industry News

The real estate market isn’t always predictable—it must adapt to the ebbs and flows of the incalculable vogue—but it seems safe to say that oceanfront properties will never go out of fashion.

With a finite supply, supreme scenic beauty and a highly desirable lifestyle, the shoreline is home to many of the most coveted properties across the country.

New coastal development can be rare as many U.S. beaches are environmentally protected to preserve their ecological integrity and natural splendor, which means moments to own a piece of pristine oceanside are often once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

Here are three new oceanfront properties not to be missed.

Surfsedge at Indian River Shores

Located on the soft-sanded shores of eastern Florida and with direct access to the beach and covered balconies overlooking the Atlantic, the luxury development Surfsedge at Indian River Shores is about as oceanfront as you can get.

Set to be completed in the spring of 2023, the residences at Surfsedge will come in various sizes and styles, but all with a premium beach location.

MORE FOR YOU

Oceanfront condos range from 2,802-3,307 square feet under air, all with high ceilings, kitchens with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and access to the community rooftop terrace with fire pit, grill and hot tub.

Other community amenities include a fitness center, lap pool and spa. Residences at Surfsedge are selling quickly, with only seven units left as of November.

Also available are single-family homes which come in three styles, each with three-bedrooms, 3.5-bathrooms and a two-car garage.

Pricing for condos starts at $2.5 million—single-family homes start at $1.76 million.

Hokuli’a on the Big Island

A private club community located on the western coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, Hokuli’a is an exceptional example of luxury island living.

The 1,260-acres that comprise Hokuli’a feature the best of the Hawaiian shoreline where the magnificent blues of the Pacific meet with rolling grasslands and dramatic black lava fields.

Designed for an active lifestyle, Hokuli’a offers a wide array of health amenities, including an oceanfront fitness center, Olympic-length lap pool and an open-air yoga studio.

In addition, the community also houses top-tier recreation, such as tennis courts, scenic hiking trails and a renowned golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

But not all the amenities are about working up a sweat—the club also has spa and massage facilities and an open-air Pavilion restaurant.

Lot sizes range from one- to two acres and homes designs come in various styles with custom-crafted options to suit each resident.

In the Phase II section of the development, a 1.2-acre lot is currently listed for $4.9 million. Finished products, such as this elegant estate along the golf course fairway, is listed for about $8 million.

Featured listings in the Mahea Lani and Nalu Kai communities are held by the state-wide brokerage Hawai’i Life and are now available.

North Hutchinson Island’s Cristelle Cay

Construction is underway at Cristelle Cay, a four-story oceanfront luxury condominium in North Hutchinson Island, Florida, and already over half of the 21 units have sold.

Surrounded by preserves on all three sides, Cristelle Cay offers unspoiled ocean views and access to the area’s beaches, wetlands and rivers.

The luxury condominium is comprised of two buildings—the Sailfish, with 9 three-bedroom units, and the Mahi-Mahi, with 12 two-bedroom units.

All residences come with enclosed garages and use of a heated, ocean-side infinity pool, tiki-styled gazebo and barbecue patio. Pricing starts at $995,000, while a corner unit with three bedrooms will run upwards of $1.3 million. Listings are held by luxury brokerage Dale Sorensen Real Estate.
