We’re officially welcoming the month of June, which means it’s time for Pride! The first Pride march dates back to June 28, 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising. Thousands took to Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York streets to commemorate the event and display their support for equal rights. Today, millions of attendees worldwide march through cities to celebrate the fight won and reinforce their support for the work ahead. 

From dazzling parades that fill the streets with beautiful colors to electrifying parties and cultural events that showcase the diverse voices of the LGBTQ+ community, these cities have emerged as the ultimate destinations for embracing love, equality, and acceptance during Pride Month. Join us as we delve into the exciting world of Pride Month celebrations and uncover the cities that are set to leave an indelible mark on your heart.

West Hollywood kicks off its Pride festivities on June 2, 2023, with the Outloud at WeHo Pride music festival in West Hollywood Park. The event will feature names such as Idina Menzel, Jessie Ware, Shangela, Tinashe, Gracie Jones, Orville Peck, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more.

For those eager to partake in all the festivities that come along with the WeHo Pride Parade, strut down Santa Monica Boulevard and show your support on June 4, 2023. Celebrity names expected to attend include cast members from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Laith Ashley, Melissa McCarthy, and others.

New York City has an abundance of things to do during Pride month. Enjoy a night beneath the stars during Yankee Pride Night at Yankee Stadium or party away at Youth Pride, at Central Park.

All the New York City festivities throughout June lead to the NYC Pride March on June 25, 2023. Heading the Parade includes names such as Billy Porter, Yasmin Benoit, AC Dumlao, Hope Giselle, and Randolfe “Randy” Wicker. With over four million attendees in 2022, this year is sure to be epic!

The San Francisco Pride Parade is known around the world. This year’s theme, “Looking back and moving forward,” will undoubtedly draw a large crowd. Before the Parade, enjoy the Civic Celebration on June 24, 2023. Experience a plethora of exhibitors and over 20 stages of live entertainment.

On June 25, 2023, join other members of the LGBTQ+ community as equality and love is celebrated. The Parade is scheduled to start at Market Street and Embarcadero and end at the Civic Center.

Seattle, WA, has endless Pride activities beginning June 1, 2023. The Lake Washington Symphony kicks things off with a Celebrating Pride concert, followed by a Paws & Pride Dog Jog & Walk and Seawolves Pride Night. Other events include Rock For Pride, Seattle Mariners Pride Night, and the 5th Annual Queer Prom Seattle: The Gayla.

Wrap up the numerous festivities with the Seattle Pride Parade on June 25, 2023, and PrideFest from June 24-25, 2023, at Seattle Center and Capitol Hill.

Denver, CO is abuzz with an array of exciting Pride events throughout the month of June. Join the Colorado Rockies for a game of baseball on June 9, 2023, as they celebrate Pride Night, and if you’re still feeling sporty, sign-up or support your friends and family at the Pride 5K at the Colorado State Capitol Building.

June 24-25, 2023, explore nearly 300 exhibitors and vendors at the 2023 Denver PrideFest. Attendance is expected to soar over 535,000 people, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking.

Concluding the festivities with a grand finale, the Coors Light Denver Pride Parade will take place on June 25, 2023, adding an exclamation mark to the celebration. 

Texas boasts many Pride events throughout the month in cities such as Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. However, if you can only make one, you’ll want to check out the events in Houston, TX. Sunday, June 4, 2023, attend Pride Market, or more appropriately, the “Biergarten Party Extravaganza!” There will be D.J.’s, food trucks, contests, and more.

There will also be the annual Rock the Runway fashion show featuring the latest styles on June 22, 2023. Close out the festivities with the 45th Annual Houston Pride Parade, followed by the 2023 Official Pride Parade Afterparty on June 24.

Chicago brings the heat when it comes to celebrating Pride. With tens of thousands in attendance, three music stages, and over 100 vendors, Chicago Pride Fest is the place to be from June 17-18, 2023. Catch numerous drag shows, musicians, and other acts to take to the stage for two full days of entertainment.

But it gets better! 2023 Pride in the Park Chicago will feature headliners such as Zedd, Saweetie, Years & Years, and Zara Larsson. Pride in the Park Chicago will be an epic event leading up to the 52nd annual Pride Parade on June 25, 2023, with the route beginning at Broadway and Montrose.

This year, Washington, D.C. is hosting one of the largest Pride months in the nation, beginning with RIOT! The Capital Pride Official Opening Party on June 9, 2023. There will be numerous drag performers and other incredible performances throughout the night. But the excitement doesn’t stop there!  Don’t miss Idina Menzel during Pride Concert on June 11, 2023. Other headliners include Hailey Kiyoko, Monét X Change, Rina Sawayama, and more.

Of course, every Pride month is complete with a parade, so be sure to spread love and show your support for equality on June 11, 2023, during Pride Parade.
