In celebration of Virgil Abloh’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2019 collection as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Artistic Director, the label is hosting a "Chicago residency" in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood from June 8-July 7, 2019. Located at 1100 W. Randolph St., the pop-up is also designed to coincide with Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at The Museum of Contemporary Art (June 10-September 22, 2019).

The Louis Vuitton Chicago residency highlights the intersection of Abloh’s work as a designer, architect, and artistic director, offering visitors an immersive experience set against a conceptual orange-hued palette. While walk-ins are welcome, visitors are encouraged to reserve a "Free Priority Pass," which is both a practical way to address crowd control, as well as a nod to the more artful, gallery-like nature of this pop-up experience.

Housed in a shuttered nightclub that Abloh’s team transformed into a temporary gallery-retail space, the collection includes a limited-edition range of ready-to-wear and accessories available exclusively in Chicago. The pieces, all commissioned in orange, are intended to bring a disruptive vibrance to the store’s monochromatic backdrop and evoke the energy and excitement surrounding Abloh’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
