Listed For $34 Million, This ‘Super’ Penthouse In Singapore Comes With A Rare Blue Diamond

A rare blue diamond valued at $3 million can yours if hurry up and buy this 11,000-square-foot penthouse before the end of August. The “diamond package” also comes with 40 hours of aircraft charter in a Global 6000, courtesy of Singapore Air Charter (valued at around $500,000).

Also included in the $34.8 million asking price for this fully furnished penthouse in Singapore’s Concourse Skyline building is a Meisterstuck Soundwave bathtub, said to be the first of its kind to be shipped to Asia, which acts like a “membrane” and pulsates with music when connected to a bluetooth device.

A few of the other exclusive items that come with the unit are a rocking chair designed by British-Israeli designer Ron Arad that is only one of 12 in existence; a custom-made chandelier installed by the Paris-based glass artist Nathalie Ziegler; de Gournay hand-painted wallpaper; Devialet speakers; outdoor furniture from Belgian brand Tribu; and lighting and glass installations by the Czech-based company Lasvit. Super penthouses in Singapore have jumped up in popularity with billionaire James Dyson recently buying a $54 million dollar penthouse (he also purchased a weekend retreat for $33 million) as he moves Dyson’s head office to Singapore. Facebook cofounder billionaire Eduardo Saverin purchased a unit in 2017 for about $44 million USD.

According to reps for the Sotheby’s brokerage listing this unit, there are another four super penthouses for sale in Singapore, which is high compared to most other urban centers. They define “super” penthouses as ones that are at least of 10,000 square feet, have 360 degree views, are located in a major city and come with superb amenities.

“Developers take great pains to curate a special lifestyle appeal ultra-high-net-worth investors through collaboration with luxury brands,” said Leong Boon Hoe, Chief Operating Officer, List Sotheby’s International Realty, Singapore, via email. “It shows that ultra-high net worth individuals will be willing to pay for a trophy asset that meets [their] needs and appeals to [their] fancy.”

The kitchen comes with top of the line appliances, some of which create a half wall to divide the space so that the entertaining area on the other side is slightly separated from the kitchen prep area.

This unit spans two full floors plus a rooftop deck that has views of Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Golf Course and Singapore Sports Hub. A built-in hot tub is also one of the amenities.
