SIR: What are the benefits of owning a rental property in your country?
SS: Owners of rental properties in New Zealand have the luxury of holidaying here when they can but can just as easily open the reservations calendar when they are not to paying guests. As a luxury rental home business, we can offer the homeowner the opportunity to experience a return on their investment with peace of mind that their property is being well taken care of and the rental income can help to offset outgoings.
SIR: What trends are you seeing in your rental market?
SS: In the current climate as our borders are closed, we have seen a noticeable rise in domestic bookings. Many local families and groups of friends who may have travelled overseas to holiday are enjoying the opportunity to experience their own back yard. Our owners have been happy to provide an incentive to book their homes in way of a Stay Pay promotion which has encouraged more bookings.
We have also had many enquiries from overseas travelers looking to stay in Queenstown for a longer stay. Unfortunately, with our borders closed at present, this is not viable but, in the future, we are confident that when international tourists can visit again, we will see a rise in longer stays. Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most exciting destinations. Surrounded by towering mountains, positioned on the edge of a lake it is a destination like no other with so many attractions in a village like setting in the South Island of New Zealand. Complemented with many luxurious homes that we offer to stay in it is no wonder that Queenstown is such a popular four season holiday destination.

SIR: How does the rental market drive business for your company?
SS: Our Luxury Rental Home business is in constant communication with the homeowners.
As a result, we have developed strong relationships, therefore when an owner considers selling their property there is already a trusting supportive relationship there that a referred sales broker can build on.
