A five-floor, 19,000-square-foot penthouse north of Madison Square Park in Manhattan, featuring more than 3,5000 square feet of outdoor space with a private lap pool and glass-walled hot tub, has hit the market for $98 million, making it one of the priciest condos on the market in New York City.

The price is just under $5,000 per square foot, notes Raphael Sitruk of Keller Williams NYC, who is co-listing the mega-apartment with Efraim Tessler, a member of the family behind Tessler Developments that built the 69-unit, 33-floor building at 172 Madison Ave. The company is also known for its developments at 295 Fifth Avenue, a 1920 structure known as The Textile Building, and the Bryant Park Hotel.

The price "is completely realistic based on the space," Sitruk says. "It’s huge and it gives beautiful views from every room."
