On Thursday, June 27, Equinox Fitness opened its 100th fitness club in the brand’s hometown of New York City at 32 Hudson Yards. The brand says that this centennial club is the truest realization of its ‘holistic lifestyle promise’, with ‘with ample opportunity across the Equinox at Hudson Yards footprint for training, working, regenerating, socializing, community building, eating and more,’ according to a press release announcing this milestone opening.

The new club will be Equinox’s largest yet, at 60,000 square feet of club space. In addition to amenities that members now expect from the leader in luxury-meets-performance fitness, such as best-in-class group fitness spaces and a spa, the new facility will also offer a 25-yard indoor salt water pool and both hot and cold plunge pools. According to Equinox Executive Chairman and Managing Partner Harvey Spevack, "Equinox architected the ‘fitness as lifestyle’ conversation and has always defined trends rather than following them, which is why we selected Hudson Yards as the site for our 100thclub. Equinox Hudson Yards is a true culmination of our brand promise, representing our ongoing commitment to innovation and the future of the brand’s trailblazing point of view both inside and outside the four walls of our fitness clubs.”

Notably next-level offerings will include amenities that transcend those of even the most elite gyms in major markets, crossing over into a forward-looking comprehensive wellness lifestyle. These include a 15,000 square foot outdoor leisure pool and sundeck with daybeds and views of the cityscape below and an E be Equinox – known to members as the brand’s hyper-exclusive and pricey gyms. While many Equinox members might be aware of the brands tiered system for personal training, starting at Tier One for new trainers and maxing out at Tier Four at the Equinox E clubs, the Hudson Yards club will offer a Tier X – which the brand calls, "holistic lifestyle coaching, including sleep and nutrition coaching and more, all in partnership with our world renowned Health Advisory Board."

The new club has been designed by acclaimed firm Joyce Wang Studio to highlight architectural elements and the industrial nature of its location, as well as sanctuary vibes to match its mind-body member offerings. Within the carefully curated spaces, members can take Equinox signature group fitness classes including Precision Running, Master of One and a new Band Burn. Post-workout, members can grab healthy food items from healthy New Yorker favorite Juice Press, which is offering a full smoothie bar including items exclusive to Equinox Hudson Yards, and from healthy, fast-casual restaurant Broken Coconut.
