Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale, a new luxury residential development, has opened in South Florida. It is the first entirely residential project for Auberge, the hospitality brand known for its Michelin-starred Auberge du Soleil in California’s Napa Valley.

Located on the former site of the Ireland’s Inn Beach Resort, the development, which is 4.2 acres in size, is comprised of 171 units with 450 linear feet of beachfront access to the Atlantic Ocean. A 22-story South structure features 114 units while a 17-story North structure boasts a gracefully curved façade of expansive cascading terraces and houses 57 larger residences.

The project was developed by The Fairwinds Group, which is helmed by Andy Mitchell, with an initial focus to redevelop his family’s Ireland’s Inn Beach Resort, which they have owned (along with the Ireland family) for five generations.

“Our vision (was) to build something spectacular on our family’s beachfront property,” says Mitchell. “Auberge Beach is an example of how thoughtful development can elevate the image of a city. Our partnership with The Related Group and Fortune International has delivered the finest resort-style residential destination ever built in Fort Lauderdale, perfectly fitting the area’s natural landscape.”

The development offers homes with spacious floor plans, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, expansive ocean views and gourmet kitchens complete with Italian cabinetry and stone countertops.

Some units have their own private pools. The South Tower is nearly sold out with few select residences remaining available for purchase.

Internationally-recognized architecture firm Nichols, Brosch, Wurst, Wolf & Associates envisioned the two iconic light-filled glass towers to maximize the project’s beach setting and panoramic ocean views.

Interiors, which are by award-winning interior design firm, Meyer Davis, create an elevated urban beach escape by blending rich textures with organic materials that initiate a dialogue with the natural environment. Landscape architecture was designed by Enzo Enea. World-class art can be found through the common areas including Fernando Botero’s La Maternidad.

The restaurant is helmed by Executive Chef Edgar Beas, who oversaw the creation of  a distinctive menu focused on sustainable and local ingredients. The beverage program also pays homage to Auberge Resorts Collection’s Napa Valley origins with hand-selected wines from Northern California and offers signature cocktails crafted with house-made ingredients. Dune is open daily for lunch and dinner, and will soon offer brunch on Sundays.
